Are apples keto-friendly?

It is not ideal to eat an apple if you intend to follow the Keto diet, as offsetting the apple can cause such a huge uptick in weight. If you want to eat apples be prepared to consume enormous amounts of calories just to maintain the correct fat percentages. If this causes you to consume 168 calories of pure fat per apple, even more if it is from an inefficient fat source like peanut butter, it will take five tablespoons and 940 calories to reach the 70% fat percentage of calories per meal required by Keto.

If you’re shooting for a 1700 calorie maximum like me, good luck with those apples.
